"We loved Podstine Hotel. Great location near town but far enough that it is quiet and very private. The staff was very helpful, specially the waiters over breakfast and lunch, always answering our questions and giving us advise. The beach is pristine and very private. If we ever go back to Hvar, we would definitely stay here again."

Superior room was modern, but quite small, and the balcony overlooked a side street, so could have been better, and not much wardrobe or storage space. Beach attached to hotel is nice, and the water was lovely to swim in. Unfortunately even though we were staying at hotel they wanted to charge us 20EUR each for a sunbed! And...

"Beautiful home on the hill with an infinity pool overlooking a private bay. This is a little piece of paradise outside the noise and the hustle and bustle of Hvar town, but only a 10 min drive away. The owner, Tony, is very friendly and accommodating and will drive you to town for 13 euros each way. It is about a 45 minute walk. Very secluded and peaceful! Perfect for a romantic get away or for families, but come prepared as there is nothing near by but 2 quite pricey restaurants. "

The wonderful staff met us at the ferry and took us and our luggage up the few stairs along the beautiful stone walled alleys to the hotel. This is no corporate business hotel. "My husband and I stayed 3 nights at Hotel Vitar as part of our honeymoon and had the most exceptional experience. We received a room upgrade upon arrival and the room was a dream. The rooftop was also absolutely stunning - photos don’t do it justice. A true sanctuary! Breakfast was delicious and the staff were all very friendly. I miss it already and would recommend this hotel without hesitation!"
