"A great location, convenient to Watkins Glen and Seneca Lake, and on a quiet street. Parking is easy at the door to the room. Beds were comfortable although the pillows were somewhat unsupportive for my neck. Two queen beds in the room are nice but do cramp the space for luggage storage. Continental breakfast is fairly typical and good.: coffee, juice, muffins."

"Well, where to begin..First of all, the room I booked online was NOT the room I got. When we entered the building you walk into an ice cream shop. (Confusing) There is no front desk.The check in process was inconvenient. There was a handwritten, tattered note taped to the door for you to call a number to check in. So, I sat outside and tried to call 4 times with no answer, Finally, they called me back. They gave me the code to my room. We tried several times to get in, then it locked us out....

"It is a well maintained and managed old property. The Laurel doesn't have the amenities of modern hotels, but the location, the private balcony with an amazing view was worth the stay. The owner/operators are great folks.They were understaffed but the working staff were great, friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was very good. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive."

"Michael greeted us upon arrival with a simple and easy check-in and check-out process. To our surprise, the staff cleaned our room daily. I highly recommend the Gorgeous View Motel for a restful nights sleep and easy access to all that the Watkins Glen area has to offer."

"This is a very reasonable and affordable place to stay as a solo or family traveler. It's a small independent motel that feels like a throwback to the 80s or 90s with actual metal room keys and decor that feels like your Grandma's spare room. The pool is well maintained and clean; the room I stayed in was decently cleaned but the maid definitely needed to check under the bed after the last guests left. The deluxe king bed room itself was enormous for a family of three just spending one night....

The sunsets are truly incredible, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The front yard has a lot of charm and potential, though the grass was noticeably overgrown during my stay. The experience itself was unusual. I was greeted briefly by someone who handed me the key, but after that I didn’t see a single staff member, and there’s no real reception...
