"It was very hot and we weren't able to operate the air conditioner and bathroom door didn't close. We had advised reception but no one came and had to reach out again later in the evening as the room was unbearably warm. The hotel is old which was to be expected and the cleanliness was ok. The room is cleaned every other day so not sure how this is a 4 star hotel. There were alot of little flies and moths flying inside the room. Also, one of the pillows was dirty and didn't look like the case was cleaned. We tried to change hotels after the first day but would not allow us to. We paid alot of money for this room and expected much more. Was offered another room but was on the main floor and was a downgrade. We stayed in a 3 star in Lisbon and paid much less and received much better customer service. "

"When we first arrived, I was unsure about our hotel choice. The hotel was a little hard to find because it’s inside a very old building that is surrounded by other businesses and it has a very tiny sign on the door with the hotel name. The elevator is extremely tiny and claustrophobic, but Gabby was happy to bring up our luggage. If you want authentic, quaint, consistent with this very historical area, this is a good place to stay. The location couldn’t be better as far as walking distance to tons of shops and restaurants. It was a very different experience. Our room was the only one on that floor. It was big with a balcony facing the pedestrian street. The king bed was comfortable, the temp was good, and the shower had good water pressure. There isn’t much space to store clothing, but we made it work. There is also no conditioner in the shower. The staff was wonderful though and very friendly. Kudos! They had a nice breakfast buffet with a gourmet coffee machine, which many places don’t offer there. Overall, I ended up being happy with our choice."

"I had a very good stay at this place in Porto. The location is excellent—very convenient and close to everything, which made getting around the city extremely easy. The property was clean, well-maintained, and everything worked perfectly during our stay. It was also very comfortable and suitable for families, with a welcoming and practical setup. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend it, especially for families visiting Porto."

We loved Porto, and having this hotel as our stepping stone for our explorations with our family of four, made our trip easy, memorable and great. Quiet rooms made for a good night sleep, laundry facilities, parking, great breakfast, right in the heart of it all. What more could you ask for?"

"The hotel is right in the center and within a few minutes of everything. One minute walk from the train station. The room was clean like new. Great staff."
