"The view of the ocean was the only good thing about my room. The air conditioner didn't cool, no coffe pot,refrigerator didn't work,broke ice machine,stayed on 9th floor one elevator broke also could have had a microwave per request found out last night there. The only good thing about stay was staff Kat and Ernest. If I could have stayed in the lobby would have been amazing very disappointing paying well over 300 a night. I will never go back to the Tides again."

"The hotel is exactly what we wanted for our stay: clean, quiet, nice breakfast and not too far from our activities. Coffee is set up all day which is very helpful. However, one drawback is that you have to use valet parking. It was very chilly outside and we could easily walk to our car, but instead we had to wait in the cold for 5-10 minutes waiting for it. I am not sure why the hotel requires valet parking. I don’t mind paying for parking but I’d like the option of keeping my keys and using...

"Outstanding hotel from which to explore the immense beauty of Charleston. Staff were all so fantastic from helping us check in early, to restaurant recommendations to facilitating our bag storage while we checked out and went to tour College of Charleston (reason for our trip). Rooms were very comfortable - spacious, nice linens, very clean. Hotel design is beautiful. Highly recommend. "

"Make sure you book on the Marina side of the building or you can up in a room by a dumpster with horrible highway noise all night…this was a last minute booking only because we arrived early to the city and our resort was sold out for the night. When I went to get ice I was greeted by a pit bull running up to greet me (thankfully he was friendly) might want to tell staff to inform guests with dogs about using leashes on site!! The marina was nice, restaurant at the end of the block had cheap...

"It could be nice but it is in sad need of updating. We had a suite on the 14th floor for 4 nights. Only 1 of 2 elevators worked. Everything about the space screamed cheap. It was furnished with low end Ikea-like furniture. The kitchen was furnished with a coffee maker and a frig. No microwave. No paper towels. Regarding the bathroom: that was the worst single ply toilet paper I have ever experienced. The tub had a grab bar but it is in the wrong place. The shower curtain rod bends down so the...

"Just an incredible home and property"

"Clean, convenient, staff friendly, comfortable. Public areas dark and outdated. Nothing lights and paint/carpet couldn’t fix. Room very nice, comfortable, quiet. TV outdated. No streaming, remote so worn couldn’t tell function on buttons. Overall, lower end 3 star at upper end 3 star price. "

"Water’s Edge was close enough we could easily walk to all the places we wanted to go. The staff was terrific, very helpful, courteous and friendly- that southern hospitality in action. (Special shoutouts to Scarlet and Bri!)"
