The room shown in pictures did not match the room given to me. Also AC was not working and had to wait one hour and switch between rooms in middle of night. Horrible experience

Great new hotel! Need to clean rooms daily and replenish coffee tea in room since they DO NOT offer free water and coffee. Breakfast area was very congested

What a great new Property! Of course it was very clean! The staff were amazing! My husband and I had a 1king suite bedroom. It also had a pull out queen bed in living room area! We had a gorgeous wrap around balcony with a great view!! The location is in a superb area. Parking is only $15 per night. Close to the beach, about a 5-10 min walk. Next to a Costco and many other stores. We live in Las Vegas and love to travel to Monterey. We will definitely be back!

Some good and some bad here. Very short walk to see the ocean or get on the bike path. The free breakfast was better than any other comparable hotel. Ham and egg croissants, spinach fertada and the dining staff were very attentive and nice. Pool, jacuzzi, courtyard and bar area were all very nice. Gym was clean and had equipment choices. 5 minute drive to monterey. The bad: For it being a brand new property, the room quality is not great. Bed sheets, blankets and pillows are awful. TV volume very quiet on some channels. If your window is facing the Costco be prepared to hear delivery truck noises, loud banging etc all night long. Only the hand held shower head worked. Most of the staff were pleasant, although not overly friendly. My room wasn’t ready when I arrived at 4:30pm, and I was told it may be a few hours before they could get me in a room. A complimentary drink at the bar for the inconvenience would’ve gone along way but they didn’t offer anything. Missed opportunity.

We booked this hotel because it was new. Everything was almost spotless. Front desk employees were friendly, be patient with Linda-- she appeared to be in training. Overall great and will return because all the minor issues were taken care quickly. 2 main things: we were not notified that there would be a band playing in the courtyard from 7 to 9 on Friday night. We saw the band set up when we came back at 6pm. The lobby was packed, loud. Our room was directly facing the band on the first floor. Since i had a terrible headache, I requested to change room- which was very annoying- they really should have notified every guests with room facing the courtyard that a band would be playing that night. We saw new parents with a baby concerned as we were in the elevator, they were worried the noise as well. After we moved to a room not facing the courtyard we were able to rest. The second disappointment was breakfast, no gf option, no plantbased option the first night. I mentioned how disappointing it was to the front desk and Nancy from the kitchen came to assure us there would be options the next morning. Indeed there were veggie sausages and gf bread. She apologized the oatmeal was not GF (which is what I had hoped for) and that she ordered some (but I'd be gone by then). Still I was very impressed by Nancy. She really cared that I brought this to her attention and took action. I hope management realizes what a gem she is. Again Overall great place and caring staff.
