"Exactly what we wanted. Quiet, romantic, great location."

"Staff were super! Loved the drink and snack in the evening and breakfast. All food was good. We sat at the bar and both nights the bar tender was great. The rooms love seat had a tear in the cushion. The shower door didn’t shut properly so leaked onto floor. The bathroom drain must of been clogged because it drained very slow. The nice part was the bed and pillows. Very soft and comfortable."

"Ideal location in the thick of Old Port. Walking distance to most of Portland Old Port main attractions. Staff are fantastic. They were very friendly and professional start to finish. Rooms were clean and comfortable."

"Perfect clean room and bathroom. 4 pillows per bed, extra blanket. best shower pressure I have ever had in a motel!! So close to hospital and mall and Portland. Very well run a real diamond in the ruff!! Will also be our choice for this part of Maine."

"Beautiful hotel, wonderful location. My only note is that the bed and pillows were not as comfortable as I would expect from this kind of boutique hotel. Standard size pillows only, no king size pillows and no lumbar pillows, and a fairly hard mattress with a thin pad. The night before my stay, I stayed in a converted motel for 25% of the Docent’s price that had far superior bedding."

"The rooms had so much extra space it was strange. The adminities were a bit old and super small area for gym."

"Sauberes Zimmer, auch wenn es etwas älter ist. Die Lage ist herrlich. Strand gut erreichbar, kleiner Laden für Lebensmittel. Frühstück war frisch zubereitet. Mehr als gut. Selten so etwas was man wertzuschätzen wissen sollte."
