The property is a little tired - if you take the stairs instead of the elevator you will see some interesting stains on the carpeting - and the surrounding area is all strip malls, but those were acceptable trade offs for the price we paid for our stay."

"Good location in downtown Santa Rosa. Staff were friendly. Free breakfast and parking with the stay. We liked that there was a lot of natural light in the room and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice and spacious. We brought our dog and it was very dog-friendly."

"I never ended up staying at the property as when checking in they gave away the room of the couple we were traveling with. Though advertised as "guaranteed" they overbooked the property and the only reason I got the last room was because I checked in before them when we arrived. It could easily have been me if they checked in first. In speaking to the General Manager he spent an hour and a half telling us we could not get any compensation but one nights stay at a future time. He said he found a...

"Water pressure kind of low in the shower. Maybe a city rule?? Desk clerk was VERY helpful with a noisy guest. Hot tub was awesome!"

"Parking was a winner for us with an easy walk into town"

"Reasonable size room for a single bedroom. Had a pizza box and left over food in the fridge. A call to the office brought a man to remove the food but left a small food smear on the shelf inside. Was fairly quiet to be so close to the freeway. AC was not needed as it was a mild evening. Parking was sufficient for the occupants.Staff was courteous although reluctant to send someone out to fix the fridge problem (it was 9:30 at night) but did send him."

"Loved everything about this stay. Although it was a last minute booking, the staff was very pleasant and patient. The hotel is very clean exceeding expectations and feels very safe. Plenty of parking, amenities are great. Feels like a very luxurious room. They even have a safe in the closet. Breakfast was also very delicious offering to go options and hot meals such as cinnamon rolls, eggs, sausages, pancakes etc."

"This property was nice, especially having the large open space in the back with a large pond and walking area for us and our dog nearby. We had some issues with the room: the bathroom door didn’t close completely and the microwave locked itself down and it took much effort to get my drink out. The chair in the room desperately needs a pillow, as it’s horribly uncomfortable without something to fill in the round shape. Don’t bother with the buffet breakfast unless you’re not choosy about...

"Good stay when I needed some rest on my way home from a trip. The guy behind the desk was super friendly and helpful. Pet friendly, no real area to potty your pup.... so plan to be taking your pet for walks. But a nice, super basic yet comfortable place. I couldnt figure out working the tv for the life of me, but you can always call the front desk during their working hours! Served it's purpose for my dog and I on our way up the coast."

"The Inn is located in the center of Occidental. The Inn is older, which is part of its charm; however, the room we stayed in had a very strong damp smell, which was not inviting. We were on the first floor, and it felt like the family above, with their small children, was in the same room. Every step and door closure you could hear. There were missing slats on the window blinds, allowing light from the patio in. The one attendant, JP, was extremely helpful and was the highlight of the stay....
