"I chose a more budget room, so my view wasnt very nice and overlooked by other rooms (the garden is lovely so maybe consider upgrading to a garden view). However, the room was large, well maintained and I didnt notice any significant cleanliness issues. Bathroom had plenty of surface space for toiletries.
The car park can get quite full if an event is on. Food and drinks I thought a little pricey (large glass of wine and a burger £37). Pool was nice and lots of gym equipment."
"It was a very tired hotel. Needs a birthday big time.
Bed was uncomfortable and pillows were too soft.
There was yucky smell as you walked in which wasn’t very welcoming.
Bathroom size was good and shower was also good.
It was too hot and we worked out that was probably because of the indoor pool connected to the hotel.
We had the window open all night and also a fan on and it was still too hot. Not worth what we paid."
"The hotel is well placed to explore the area. The room was comfortable, clean and great for the 2 nights we stayed.
The bar was cosy with the wood burner on, breakfast set you up for the day and dinner was tasty and substantial 😁

Cons smelly plumbing in room.
Breakfast chaotic when busy. Having to order eggs/porridge and point to your table isn’t great. Coffee is from a machine, awful. Tea from a teabag isn’t great but better than the coffee"
