"The rooms are clean, comfortable and affordable. The waffles for breakfast were delicious. This guesthouse is stocked with anything you need, including a communal kitchen and living space. We only had one hiccup when checking out of the accommodation but it was minor. We were in a rush to catch a ferry so I was a little stressed. Be prepared to show your Expedia full payment receipt. "

"We had a wonderful three-night stay at the Black Beach Guesthouse. The self-check-in process was super easy, and we really appreciated the location in Þorlákshöfn — just about an hour from Reykjavík and the airport. On our first night, we took a short walk to the local community recreation center, where a kind local recommended a nearby spot called Thai Sakhon. We gave it a try, and the food was great!
