"The hotel is very beautiful yet very old. Our room was excellent in every way and was completely silent at all hours. The staff were delightful and very helpful. The hotel had a very nice 24 hour accessible lounge with fruit and fancy coffees. The location was perfect with numerous shops and restaurants within a very short walk. The architecture of the area was excellent. Quebec City and this hotel rivals the European cities we have visited."

"We stayed at the Fairmont Frontenac, but couldn't get a room for the final night we planned to stay in Quebec. We moved to the Clarendon, one block away, expecting to feel let down. Instead, we found the hotel we will stay in when we're next back in Quebec City. The Clarendon was very comfortable with a nicer bath than in the first hotel. Employees assisted us to have a taxi for our trip to the airport. At one-third the cost of the Frontenac, it offers the same access to surrounding sites...

"A beautiful small hotel well situated for walking around old Quebec. The staff had a problem with breakfast one morning as a staff member did not show up. Staff clean the room every second day which is fine but one day they did a poor job. Towels missing and bathroom not cleaned properly. The front end staff were wonderful and did their best to resolve problems."
