The staff were very kind. There were many convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so it was convenient. The location was in a back alley, so the quiet space was comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was the presence of insects (cockroaches) in the room.

So look I can’t fault the service. Although there was a major language barrier, the staff were very attentive and tried their best to accomodate my stay. However we did encounter some issues with the stay. 1. The driveway is roughly 500m walk. The reception is about half way down. You aren’t given any check in details prior to arrival so naturally you drive to the end of the driveway where the Villa’s are situated. We were then informed that we needed to check in first. The staff were around at this time so they scootered me up. however if they weren’t there, you would have to walk back up the hill to the reception. Unless you are planning on hiring a scooter or scooting everywhere, be prepared to walk. 2. The water supply was shut off for over 3 hours on the first day and 4 hours on the third day. This was right after we went mud bugging in ubud so we were filthy. We had to sit outside for hours until the water was finally turned back on. 3. The neighbour was hiring women to his room all hours of the night, they were having very very loud intercourse. So loud you could hear it over the TV. This happened 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed. Now I know this isn’t the villas fault however it made the stay turn sour very fast. There was a major positive to the stay, the room was poorly made and looked after. However the staff cleaned it daily and did their best to keep it clean and tidy.

Firstly, trying to find this place wasn’t easy, the map took us to the front of a villa however the reception was up the other end. The room was completely different to the photos that were shown, the bed was as hard as a rock I would have been better off sleeping on the floor. Would not recommend staying here. Everyone has their opinions and experiences and unfortunately this was mine. We stayed one night and then checked out immediately the following morning and went elsewhere.

Loved our stay here thank you for having us. A couple of small things to help us as tourists, supply a toaster and tea towel in kitchen. Supply a hand towel bedside bathroom vanity so you don’t need to use bath towel to wipe hands after toileting and check toilet roll paper, should be at least one spare every day so we don’t need to contact reception. These are very small things and would not affect us recommending friends to stay at Paisa Villas.

Paisa villa Bali

Really nice place,very simple place with attentive staff however our particularly room was infested with ants so any form of food left alone for longer than five minutes was ruined. We were also next to where the staff prepare breakfast for the villas so we’re often woken by talking and the smell of cigarettes but I’m sure the other rooms aren’t like that. The location was good only being a few minutes walk from locals shops, food and the beach.

Lovely staff but room & shower disappointing I booked 2 nights only stayed 1. It’s down a really long driveway scary at night to walk down. Room is old dated and not that clean. I just had to leave.

Do yourself a favour, skip this place. Very basic compared to other Villas in Bali, intermittent hot water, ran out of water altogether and had to wait for tank to fill. If you order breakfast for 8am, it might arrive by 9? On the last day they turned off the electricity until we paid an extra fee for late check out which was already pre authorised. Pool never got cleaned for the entire week. Overall not a 4.1. More a 2

A big room and bathroom. Good facilities big shower, sink, big tv, comfortable bed in quiet surrounds. Good pool area. Negatives have to ask for water. Food at the restaurant takes so long to cook. Staff speak little English. The room has a lot of insects. The walk of 3-400m to the main Rd might be a bit much for some people. Overall I would stay again.

New and clean lacks atmosphere and service

Newly built and clean but lacks the right atmosphere and service. No telephone on the room. No new sheets and towels after three nights even if the sheets were stained. It looks good at first but lacks that personal touch. Feels more like you rent private then a hotel. If you look at the map the location looks perfect but in reality it’s placed in the end of a long dark back alley. If you get it for a great price I would recommend it- otherwise not.
