"Reasonable rate for a short stay. Room was clean and well maintained but unbearably warm even whilst leaving a window open. This was just after a warm spell although it was cool outside at the time of our visit. Double bed was a little small if used to a king size and a little soft/uncomfortable. Breakfast was ok and restocked regularly. Grounds are nice with red squirrels in the adjacent woodland. One of the driveways (from the Orton side) was very poorly maintained with a lot of deep...

"I so want this place to succeed! It’s in the most picturesque village, but needs some TLC after a string of management changes. New team comes in August. The bedrooms are clean, small, very comfortable and well designed. Current staff are lovely, but they’re leaving in 2 weeks."

"Delightful visit to The George and Dragon! Friendly and obliging staff, great pub, room and breakfast. Rooms renovated to a high standard and beautifully furnished. Loved the windows which could be opened to cool the room and bonus bath to relax in. Friendly bar staff when we had a drink in the pub before bed and lovely lady served us at breakfast. Really impressed and highly recommend a stay. 10/10"
