"I work hard and needed the perfect relaxing place. We booked a night while we were passing through town and it was exactly what we needed. The atmosphere was what you would expect from a Vermont establishment. The beer was great, the meatballs were literally amazing. At first I felt the price of the pizza was a bit high but after eating it I had zero regrets, worth it. Our room was above the bar and provided ear buds. We wouldn’t need them on this night because we may have been the only guests....

"The historic Inn is beautifully maintained and updated and provides a unique experience of staying in a home dating back to the 1600's. Breakfast was delicious and Megan the cook was welcoming and helpful. We always stay at the Black Walnut Inn when in Amherst!"

"Quaint and comfortable stay for our one night in the most adorable town of Shelburne Falls. A walk to the river and the bridge of flowers at sunset gave us the most beautiful pictures. Owner was kind and helpful. We stayed here while my son biked at Thunder Mountain-a quick easy 10 min drive away and would stay again."

"This was the worst hotel I have seen in years. Mold on the sheets, dead bugs and grime all over the place. There was writing on the walls and every wall/door was discolored. They sent me to a travelodge 3 miles north which was equally as bad. I can’t believe expedia even offers this as a place to stay. They need to filter their spots better. The property does not issue refunds either. I am sure thats because it is the only way they make any money. Avoid at all costs. Travellodge as...
