"Staff was great"

"In the bathroom shower on the ceiling above the shower head it was black mold. Also the lamp shade was broken."

"The location was very convenient to be able to hop on the highway. The property was fairly clean and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast however was fairly disappointing. We stayed for three nights and got the same breakfast each morning which was sausage patties and eggs along with the usual "cold" options of bagels, toast, muffins etc. I had hoped for a little variety each day (bacon instead of sausage or biscuits and gravy one morning). Everything was tasty but it was disappointing to receive the same thing each day. We received a handicapped room because we "booked the hotel through a third party and when you do that, this sometimes happens." This was unexpected and we were not able to get a different one. The room was ok enough. The bathroom floor flooded a bit when we used the shower because there was no lip to the shower area. I don't think a small lip on the shower would have been too much to ask for even if it was a handicapped room. The bathroom ceiling was peeling and discolored in places which was a bit off-putting."

"Clean Room, Staff, Amazing Breakfast"

"Whole place is dated. Room was old, and "patched up" in several places. They didn't replace towels or clean the room the whole week. We asked for housekeeping service and they came and only made the bed, and gave us a few towels. They didn't clean the bathroom, or even empty the garbage cans. The breakfast bar had no proteins, only cereals and breads. The hot tub did not get hot, and most evenings the pool and hot tub were closed well before the posted closing time. We were in town to visit our grandchildren, and were hoping to bring them back to the hotel pool. The hotel charges $30 per non registered guest for 2 hours of pool use, which is ridiculous, especially when the place was empty. The owner is quite obviously trying to save money instead of spending money to make it better to get more people to actually want to stay there. I would not stay there again. There are much better places in Shelby."

"Not a well maintained property at all, would not stay there again. Fridge was not working, bathroom in serious need of an upgrade. Elevator in horrible shape. Pool not operational, not at good experience"

"2-years in a row that the pool was closed. Shower head leaked & had weak water pressure. The Conditioner was empty upon arrival & need to have some sort of ‘night light’ available instead of only bright lights or TV. Not being picky, I liked my stay… I’m just trying to give good honest feedback ~ easy improvements. Thank You. "
