"Rooms look like they are currently getting updated, but things are just not finished well. Bathroom fittings were loose, showerhead was not fitted correctly, and floor tiles needed a good clean. Each room had a small outdoor table and chairs, our room had a broken chair and was missing the table.
Received a message before check-in stating the kitchen was closed. On arrival there was a temporary bar and caravan kitchen in the front carpark with half the carpark was closed off and guest required...

"Good: I had a late check-in which the staff arranged for me to access the hotel no problem, thanks. The view from my room (level 12) was great.
Not so good: loud whistle/trilling noise that was not repaired. Cockroaches in bathroom. Effort getting the bathroom door to stay closed. Lack of interest in my issues."

"The room was satisfactory but if I had one issue, it was the lack of a overhead fan for the bathroom. Plus the grouting in the bath area needed fixing. The location was excellent with the Seaview Hotel meals, just down the road, outstanding and good value. The other excellent factor was the availability of car parks on-site with access controlled via a security gate. All the staff, from the front desk to the cleaners and handy men, were all exceptionally friendly and helpful."

"We were unable to stay as they had booked us into an upstairs unit instead of ground level. There was no lift or any body prepared to help us with luggage to try to get up the stairs. We are an elder couple and we were in Townsville for my husband to have eye surgery. He had to stay in Townsville to be able to return to the hospital for after surgery care. Very disappointing!"
