"This hotel is fantastic! Gorgeous design, super friendly staff, perfect location, and great connection to the uva community. The rooms were well appointed with super soft robes and towels. The staff went above and beyond to greet us. We also ate at the main restaurant Poplar and the food, decor and service was perfect! I’m excited to continue to visit this fantastic addition to the uva community!"

"This hotel needs to be rated much much much lower. Our first room smelled terrible, the floors were very dirty and within a minute we found a roach. We went to the front desk and requested a new room, they moved us and that room was better but not great. New room still had stained sheets and unclean floors and a smashed bug on the wall. It was too late at night to try to change again. No staff around in the morning to ask for refund. NOT worth staying here even for the price. Expedia reviews...

"Very clean and the main lobby is pretty and has comfortable spots to hang out. Breakfast is great for being continental with fresh pancakes. The rooms have the basics, except ours didn't have any shampoo or bodywash. I told the receptionist and she said she had to call her manager and didn't know if we could have any. We never received either or any explanation. Thankfully I had brought a bar of soap. You might want to ask if everything in your room has been restocked before check in...
