Not up to Hilton Standards
Hilton only by name. This hotel is not up to Hilton standards and needs renovating. The carpets were old and smelled musky. I had to request a room without carpets after change rooms twice without satisfaction. I had to contend with a lower grade room without the smelly carpets but it was worth the sacrifice. The cleaning was also very sloopy for a five star.

Nice hotel but some facilities problems
Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, hotel breakfast is ok. Location is good. There are some improvements can be made. The hotel provided phone charging cable, but the voltage is too low, it take long time to charge one phone. We forgot to bring our own charging cable for this trip. We have several phones and tablets to charge, and it take overnight and cannot complete all charging. There is no soap provided in the bath room. All liquid soap and shampoo bottle are fixed inside of the shower room and cannot take it away. Therefore when you take a bath on the tub, you got nothing to use (you can only soaked on the bath tub with hot water, nothing else. You cannot wash your body by any detergent). All you can do is going to the shower room after. Seems like the beautiful bath tub is only for display. The hair dryer is super noisy but blowing power is weak. Cannot dry the hair even my daughter is very short hair. Therefore I give up to wash my long hair because of the bad hair dryer. Suppose I think I can ask the room service to change another hair dryer for me but it was nearly 1am in the morning… I prefer go to sleep.

Comfortable stay
The Hilton futian is a beautiful hotel. The only complaint is very is a lot of construction in the area so it can be a bid loud. It’s very comfortable and staff were friendly. One other thing was I couldn’t understand why they kept running out of glassware in the executive lounge!

For your information, our hotel is close to the Futian CBD and a few minutes’walk from One Avenue which is one of the big new shopping malls in Shenzhen, at the same time Metro Line 1 and Line 2 are only a few minutes’ walk. The comfort is fantastic. However, one of my rooms had a problematic sliding door which was unresolvable unless we moved out and the sink leaked during our stay. The latter was promptly repaired but it left a not-so-good feel of the stay.

Staffs are friendly, room of King Deluxe is spacious, clean and comfort. We stayed on Mid-Autumn Festival, two boxes of mooncakes were given. But little bit disappointed with the swimming pool, quite small and not a chill place, also the staff asked us to buy swimming caps there and wear swim caps in the pool.

Not so good, no doorman service, no usher at breakfast buffet, very bad design at shower. At rooftop swimming pool, i cannot believe my eyes when I saw a swimming coach is training a number of kids, all parents standing beside the pool and watching. I was like an idiot adult swimming there.

Please read this review before booking your stay here. I stayed at the Shenzhen Hilton Futian in late August 2019. I have been an HHonors Gold Member since 2012, and I have never had any complaints. Typically upon seeing that I have Gold status, the staff usually goes out of their way to make my stay extra comfortable. That’s why I’ve continued my loyalty with Hilton. However, the same cannot be said of the Shenzhen Hilton Futian. If you are expecting any form of decent customer service, throw that idea out of your head. You won’t find it here. I booked my night through Expedia instead of Hilton.com. I was not expecting to receive HHonor points for my stay, but I was expecting the normal Gold status amenities, mainly access to the executive lounge. After the front desk had agreed to granting me access, I received a call to my room saying because I didn’t book through Hilton.com they don’t recognize my status. I could have chosen to stay at any other hotel in the city but I chose Hilton specifically because I have status there. My problem was not that I was denied my status (policy is policy, I totally get it), but actually what unfolded next. I asked to speak to the general manager, Mrs. Wang. She was not only dismissive, but she was actually condescending and rude. When your job in hospitality is to ensure your guests have a smooth experience, she did the exact opposite. She used a demeaning and sarcastic tone when speaking to me. Simply awful. Avoid this hotel.

Good location close to Metro. Restaurants nearby. Many attractions accessible through metro. Pool is long enough for a good swim. Food is too expensive in the hotel.

Nice hotel but some areas of improvement
great spacious rooms. nice breakfast with lots of choices but service started getting patchy when it became busy. Nice pool but pool areas needs some lounge chairs and would be nice to have pool service such as drinks or snacks.

overall it was good. However, since there were some groups were having events, had some limitation to enjoy the hotel's facility and noisy even until 5am....OMG I was expected to use the hotel bar.. but coudln't use the 23rd floor's bar because one of the groups was having event there. well... but the room was good
