"Old building that needs major upgrade. Musty smell in rooms, mold in shower, tub/shower tab barely works. Very noisy from upstairs and outside. Convenient to Mt Rushmore, beds comfortable."

"They had a very nice indoor and outdoor pool with hot tub. The rooms were spacious and had a kitchenette. The whole property was very clean, and decorated wonderfully for the area. The breakfast meal had a lot of options and was great for our family with kids. The staff were all very nice and accommodating when we had a small issue with the fridge in our room."

"We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean, rooms were very nice, good breakfast, staff was great! FYI, pool and hotub are on the basement level. Would recommend better pool/spa hour for adults or better management of pool use. Like, maybe adult only hours from 9pm-11pm or 9:30pm to 11pm. There were a few different adults trying to enjoy the hot tub when a group of kids (ages approx 6-15) cam running in, screaming and splashing at 9:30pm. They also had no adult with them, and rules clearly state...

"Unplug and reset!! We stayed in the stargazer tent and it as very cool! The location/view was fantastic. The tents were so clean and well kept. The whole site was quiet during sleeping hours which we really appreciated. The staff was very nice and check-in/out was a breeze. Anything we needed the staff was able to provide quickly and even did so without asking for things we didn't notice. Food from the restaurant was nice, cleaner eating and very welcomed after eating on the road/fast food prior...

"The lodge is a charming place. The staff is very friendly and when we arrived late at night, left a note for us with check in instructions., which was much appreciated. Parking is easy, on the street, right in front of the lodge and many restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Location is great for easy coming and going around the area. We recommend the nearby Shirley's Keystone Cafe for an easy, delicious, online order ahead breakfast. We stayed 2 nights and the lodge was perfect...

"We rented a king suite with a balcony. It is a new property, so everything is really nice. It was clean, the housekeeping the staff was excellent. The breakfast was OK. Location is wonderful if you are looking to explore all of the natural beauty in South Dakota. We would definitely stay here again."
