"I stayed at 5 different accommodations during my visit to Japan, and Ryokan Plum was by far my favourite - it was a shame that I could only stay for one night! I stayed in the traditional tatami room, which exceeded all of my expectations. It was beautiful! The host (I forget her name) who greeted me upon my arrival was very kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend Ryokan Plum to anyone visiting the Hakone/Odawara area. "

"Let me preface this review by saying I am old and suffer from chronic pain. As such, I tend to judge hotels hardly if they can't manage to have a remotely comfortable bed. It's why I can no longer stay at capsule hotels like I could in my youth. So, bearing that in mind, if you are young, fit and can sleep on your back/on a flat, harsh surface, you can add a star to my review and ignore the start. Onto the review.
