"This is a great property, spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Also in beautiful surroundings….so why not 5 stars? I was here for three nights so the “cons” outweighed the “pros” for me. Firstly, it was (and still is) advertised as having FREE WIFI. This is important to me as I was here for work and need internet access when I’m working away. Reality - there is no internet! I did find an EE mobile wifi router in one of the kitchen drawers, but once I switched it on and connected to it,...

"The Barns Hotel is a great place to stay. Staff are very accommodating and friendly, room was comfortable and clean and there is free parking. The restaurant served reasonably priced food and the breakfast was lovely. The manager kept the bar open until we had all returned from a local festival. We would stay here again in the future 😁 "

"Attention to detail and service. We dined late on a very busy Friday, without a booking but were accommodated politely with no fuss. On top of this the staff, who were under a lot of pressure, served the whole restaurant and bar with excellent professionalism and courtesy making it was a pleasure to dine and be served. Room and the whole premises were clean and tidy even though your undertaking refurbishment. Great Job Guys. "

"Room spotless, staff really welcoming and friendly and helpful "

"The bathroom was very dated. It looked like a nursing home. The flooring was extremely old. The bed was too low. Only one bath towel for 2 people. It was definitely not up to standard for a Hub. The staff was friendly and made you feel welcomed. But this hotel needs serious renovations. "
