"The outside of the hotel looked scruffy. Weeds growing and windows were quite dirty. The skirting boards were all ripped off down the corridor we had to walk down to get to our room.
The staff were helpful and polite especially the very smiley lady who was always on for breakfast. Breakfast was good. A wide variety of food. Bacon, sausage and mushrooms, eggs scrambled, fried and hard boiled. Cereals, pastries, bread and rolls. Continental, meats, cheese and pate. Fruit and yogurts. Pancakes. Fruit juices, orange, apple, multivitamin (tropical) and grapefruit. Coffee machine. Decaf instant in sachets. Tea, breakfast and selection of fruit teas also.
There is quite a lot of noise as the hotel is near railways tracks and a road. Trains going by frequently are noisy as are the emergency vehicles.
Good storage space in our corner room. Beds were hard and uncomfortable especially after walking all day.
The small bar and reception areas were clean and tidy but overall I would say the hotel bedroom areas are a bit tired and in need of some renovation."
