Grand Hotel Continental Siena – Starhotels Collezione
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel had everything and more. We made use of the terrace with a lovely, extensive breakfast served to us by room service.
The whole hotel is like a museum. It really is a beautiful space. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience."
"We were delighted with our stay at El Chiostro del Carmine. Our room had a terrace which overlooked the town. The front desk always had staff available (who also spoke English).Upon arrival we were grateful to be on the first floor (which is really the second floor in Italy. The ground floor is 0) as we had to walk up 2 flights of stairs with our luggage. Breakfast was offered and there were many choices of food, juices and coffees. There was a beautiful courtyard as we entered the hotel area with comfy seating. Our room was quiet and spacious. The walk into Sienna was not difficult. An added bonus was a kettle with coffee and tea for our enjoyment."
"Stayed at Sangallo Park Hotel and it was a solid choice. Clean room, comfortable bed, and friendly staff. Breakfast had good variety with both hot and cold options.
Only downside is the location, not in the city center so you’ll need transport.
Overall good value and would stay again."
"No A/C even though explicitly stated. And then because of the no A/C, was required to leave the windows open so was frequently woken up by tourists on the streets, loud cars/motorcycles and the church bells at 7:30am. "
