Very comfortable room and real king bed in a great location. We expected to have parking but we had to find a spot nearby. We were fortunate. Lovely hosts and thoughtful continental breakfast.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a historic house. The room was very cozy and warm. I appreciate their hospitality. I really enjoyed having coffee and croissants in their beautifully decorated basement kitchen. In the garden, you can directly see the clock tower.

It's an 16th C historical building that has been updated. Some of the decor is a bit quirky but it had a large room and was very comfortable. I recommend this as a good place to stay in Sighisoara.

It was a wonderful place, especially for those willing to experience staying in a medieval building. We liked the room, facilities, location, friendliness of the owners. A continental breakfast was provided as well as coffee when you wanted it, and snacks. The only disadvantages are not having an elevator and parking at a remote location.

Comfortable beds great hospitality!

This was an excellent place to stay for one or two nights. It was difficult to find and there is no parking at the hotel but parking is close. The couple that owns it does an excellent job at communicating everything at check-in and the room and place is charming and cozy. The beds are absolutely fantastic and we slept so well! Its an older “farmhouse” style and breakfast is limited to croissants/coffee/tea but we enjoyed all if it. Its a great location at the base of the stairs leading to the Tower. I wish we had stayed longer. Its very secure with keeping all the gates locked and doors locked too.

The property is well located near the important attractions in Sighisoara. It is exotic and rather unique. I felt we went back in time to few hundreds years back. Yet the rooms are very clean and modern. The amenities are for a 5 star hotel. But most importantly is the hospitality and kindness we experienced. This is one of the best experiences I had in a hotel, mind you I am a frequent traveler and have visited almost all countries in Europe and Asia. Plus I travelled extensively in both North and South America

Taschler Haus Boutique hotel is a must if you visit Sighisoara Old Fortress! Jan and Silvia are amazing hosts: very friendly, they texted us when the room was ready and helped us with driving directions, parking, restaurant suggestions and all our questions. The location is perfect: just 30 meters from the Clock Tower (you can see the tower from our window). We were welcomed in our room with famous Romanian “Vişinata” and the fridge had cold (still and carbonated) water free of charge. The room was very clean, had everything we needed plus plenty complimentary items like shaving kit, tooth brush and tooth paste kit. In the morning we had nice breakfast of pastries, toast, cereal, fruits and yogurt plus cofee, tea, milk, good quality OJ as well! I highly recommend staying at Jan & Silvia’s place!
