This hotel had an excellent location lakeside and within the walled area of the castle. There is a thermal swimming pool in an adjacent building which was very good. Our room was large but the bathroom was very small for example the bidet was so close to the wall that it could not be easily mounted. The TV was also very small so difficult to watch the world cup. There were no coffee making facilities or complimentary water in this 4 star hotel. Staff in the restaurant seemed rushed and the waiter serving our table at a special dinner night was poor. Overall, the Hotel seems a little dated but it has some nice spacious areas for dining and difficult to beat for location.
No laundry facilities which differs from what’s stated on the Expedia website
Pool is warm and small but nice
Great location.
Breakfast buffet was good
Parking was challenging to get set up but worked well. Allow 2 extra hours to park and arrive to your room. Sirmione is crowded so staying in the historic center is a great way to see it early and late in the day. You’re at a resort. Mid day is best spent in the thermal bath or exploring the area off site. Local wine tours. We went to Zenata and it was a great tour for visitors with prior knowledge of the whole wine experience.
Sirmione is so beautiful. The hotel has a patio right on the waterfront. The whole atmosphere was relaxing. Breakfast was very good with a good selection of food and drinks. Staff were very helpful. Enjoyed our stay so much we extended it.
The Hotel Sirmione Terme has been standing nearly 106 years, I would say it has aged like a fine wine. It is a lovely classic hotel full of charm. My recommendation would be to stay in the old main building in a room overlooking the lake. The other hotel building accommodation is above the thermal pool and spa which has a strong smell of sulphur. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a good menu. We used the spa facilities during our stay and I booked in for a couple of treatments. All very satisfactory, but make sure you bring rubber flip flops with you to use in the spa and pool area. Our room overlooked the busy square below and a side view of the lake. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms but we asked for a kettle and was provided with one. Breakfast was good with a varied selection of yoghurts, fruits and cereals, with bread, cakes and pastries. Cold meats and cheeses as well as cooked eggs, bacon and sausages. The busy ferry port is close by offering trips to other points of interest on the lake along with many small boats offer y sightseeing tours of the lake. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely come back again.
Hotel excellent, room was spotlessly clean and lovely, beautiful views of the harbour, thermal pool health spa area was amazing, Luigi from the health suite was really lovely and helpful. Staff at check in were wonderful, cleaning staff wonderful. The Restaurant however let this hotel down. Which is such a shame ! The Younger waiters are in fact a credit to this restaurant. They guided us to a seat polity for breakfast and offered us a drink of coffee instead of pointing across the room to our seats (unlike the senior male waiter with glasses )and not acknowledging any way or any further. The same staff member who gave us the incorrect evening meal and billed us for the higher item we never ordered in the first place.the food was not to a 4 star hotel standard. Such a shame because as I said the rest of our stay was brilliant.
Nice hotel in the center of old town beautiful views of the lake. Needs a little updating in the rooms. Air conditioner made horrible sound and we had to complain to be able to switch rooms
Nicely positioned hotel on the lake and for the ferry stop. Rooms a little small but the balcony was nice with a view of the lake. Staff in the restaurant were helpful and friendly.
We loved the whole vibe of Hotel Sirmione Terme. It was in an excellent spot, just inside the castle area but not in the middle of the really busy streets. The staff were excellent, apart from one elderly waiter on the special music night who was very rude, brought us the wrong water ( sparkling rather than still) and then proceeded to ignore us for half an hour even though I'd tried to ask him for a wine recommendation - we got up & walked out sadly. The rest of the bar & restaurant staff were friendly and helpful all of the rest of the time.
The rooms were spacious - we were travelling with a wheelchair so this was a necessity. The bathroom was well equipped but the shower was a tad small to manoeuvre in. The spa area was lovely.
On the whole a great choice. That said, there are virtually no wheelchair accessible taxis in this area so bear that in mind!
