"Clean room and courteous staff"

"Cute lodge. We stayed in the Safari room. Rooms are small but were fine as we were there just for the night. A 2nd chair by the table would have been nice. Breakfast isn't served early on the weekend so we didn't have any. Wish they had something to go or offer earlier times. There was an event while we were there and while it was loud when we walked in, once we were in our room, it wasn't that bad and it did end by 10pm. "

The woman who checked us in went out of her way to make us feel comfortable, offering bottled water and snacks, which we appreciated. She handled a difficult situation at check-in with professionalism. That said, there were several concerns during our stay. "Relatively clean, bed reasonably comfortable. Staff was friendly. If that’s all you’re after and want to save $30-40 a night, then maybe it’s worth it. But property is in bad condition. 2 Elevator, but only 1 wiring and it barely worked. Only one bed in room. Very outdated everything. And it is VERY LOUD! It’s right next to Highway and the windows are very poor quality - do nothing for sound. We regretted not paying a little bit more for a nicer place. "

"My husband and I stayed here for a hockey game and it is a quick train ride to Blues or Cardinals games from SLU's campus. The building is beautiful and historic and the staff was friendly and helpful. It would be a fantastic place to stay if you were visiting the SLU campus and enjoying the theaters next door. The Inn is extremely clean. The rooms and the lounge were very charming. You park right out front for free. Wish we could have stayed longer. "

"I love the history of the hotel. My kids liked the pool and the hot tub was huge. My husband enjoyed the complimentary drink at the bar and tried something new. The art exhibit was neat as well. It was walking distance to everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!"

"The breakfast was lacking, parking was expensive and a pain (although the valet were the nicest staff), the pool was cold, our room was missing condition and they never brought us soap, they repeatedly forgot our towels after cleaning, our safe and phone were broken and never replaced or fixed after several requests and the blow dryer was weak and terrible. Good location across from The Foundry. "

"Upon our arrival until our departure, everyone made this place feel like home. I am booking our next room as we speak. This is the best service and stay that I have ever had. I highly doubt I’ll ever book anywhere else. When they say that they are a full service hotel, believe it! We didn’t lift a finger. The restaurants, Starbucks, and over all safety won me over as well. See ya next month! "

"This is a bit of an older property, but the amenities and the staff are amazing. Not only do you get FREE breakfast and parking, but it also has an indoor pool and a hot tub. Between 5:30 and 7:00 pm every day, there is also a "gathering" time with free beer, wine, soft drinks, and snacks. I truly enjoyed our stay and will be sure to stay there again on my next visit to St. Louis."

"We had a great stay at Live! We stayed Friday—Sunday on a non-game weekend. Our room overlooked the Village and on Friday night there was a DJ and music playing until midnight. This was a very cool room and a fun atmosphere; however we have a young child so it was not ideal for bedtime. Thankfully the weather was colder on Saturday night so there weren’t any festivities.
