"The plough inn was very helpful when I booked the wrong night and needed to change it, the plough could have just kept the money but agreed to the change. The room and bed were comfortable, the shower however didn’t work properly, it was a small matter overall in our stay. Breakfast was excellent staff very helpful."

As you approach, you see this beautiful and historic hotel that is right out of a period British Masterpiece Theater. It was everything that we wanted in rural English charm. The staff greeted us very warmly and continued to be that way for the entire week. The knew that we were tired from our overnight flight from the States, so they got us into a room as soon as they could, so we could get some rest before dinner. The cuisine at their restaurant is extremely excellent. We loved that they offered typical British standards along with other options. We fell in love with their quaint pub and spent many hours there. After our first night at the original hotel they moved us to their nearby Farmhouse. The recently remodeled Farmhouse was amazing and the short walk across an ancient bridge with a bubbling brook was so charming. We were delighted that we picked this hotel in tiny Malham to stay while visiting the Yorkshire Dales. My wife and I highly recommend this hotel as a base on seeing this incredibly beautiful English countryside. ♥️🇬🇧👍"

"We stayed for 3 nights. The Inn is in a great central location, a few steps from the town centre. 5 min walk to the Skipton Castle. 2 min walk to the bus stop where you can get the local bus to take you to various beautiful spots in the Yorkshire Dales, if you are not driving like us. The Inn was very clean. Although our room was very small we had Comfortable bed. The room could use a chair to sit on instead of having to sit on the bed when in the room. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Did miss some freshly baked goods. Overall good. Would stay again in the future."

"Extremely easy to locate the hotel using the postcode given. We arrived in Skipton rather early and parked in the long stay car park round the back which is £8.10 for 9 hours but free from 6pm- 9am. There is free parking on the side road next to the hotel if you're lucky enough to secure a space. We had a lovely walk round Skipton centre - it's full of independent shops selling gifts, coffee, cakes and fish to name but a few. Great to see also lots of little pubs and banks/ building societies still going strong. We were able to check in earlier than 3pm and our room ( number 2) was absolutely perfect for our overnight comfort. Our curry cruise that evening was super but it was surpassed by the amazing full english breakfast at The Railway. We look forward to our next visit to Skipton and another stay in this lovely inn. Thankyou ❤️"
