"I really liked this hotel. We got a great room with a view of the water and it was on the corner, so we had windows on two sides. The location is great -- just a few minutes' walk away from the old parts of town and even walking distance from the train station. The only downsides we experienced were that the room is a bit dark (this seems to be a common hotel theme), and there was a strike while we were there, so some of the stuff was closed. But the hotel workers deserve to make a living wage,...

"Stayed for 3 nights with family.The hotel location is good and close to supermarket and other amenities. It's a 20 minute walk to train station. No tea or coffeemaking facilities in room.In common area were there were facilitaties for coffee and tea,the tray was empty on a lot of occasions and when we asked staff just kept pointing at paid machine which was not very helpful. Self check in works well and also good facilities to store luggage. "

"Very well placed hotel, quiet and clean neighbourhood with plenty of amenities nearby. Room a little on the smaller side, but big enough for basic use, thankfully we didn't need to stay indoors all day, else it would have been rather cramped. Also, the fridge didn't exactly get cold, but was just barely cool enough for storing temperature sensitive medicines. Breakfast was good, although dairy intolerance could have been catered for better - no dairy free spreads or cheeses available when...

"If you want to stay in Bryggen and be close to all of the tourist attractions, this is a great place. Everything is super easy to get to on foot - even the downtown zone. We even walked to Nordnes one day and even that was only about 25 minutes on foot and a lovely walk. The sauna was wonderful and super clean, and there were coffee, tea, and cookies or pastries served every afternoon. The breakfast is vast and amazing and there is also a dinner buffet included.
