Absolutely nothing but GREAT things to say about the Clayton Sligo. From the helpful personable staff to the cleanliness to room size to fantastic food to the spa. Have stayed here many times
The rooms were clean and very large. Breakfast buffet had a large variety of options. There was plenty of parking in the lot. The hotel is from the 1850’s and used to be a mental institution. Beautiful outside too
Friendly, helpful staff and massive rooms compared to any of the 100’s of North American rooms we’ve stayed in.
Pool was great but the picture of the pool with bouncy castle for toddlers / kids was not there. Maybe it was a special occasion when the picture of pool on website was taken. My toddler still had fun in kids pool and bigger pool with water wings.
Lots of free parking in hotel parking lots if you have a vehicle.
Overall experience was a 4.5* and would definitely stay there again.
The room was absolutely roasting in the heat, with little but a desk fan to keep a breeze going. Food was nice, staff were friendly, and the swim/sauna was great.
Only found out the night I arrived that the place was a former insane asylum. I was in room 4117 and definitely felt that something was off, random chills and what felt like something touching my leg in the night. Would recommend salt/sage/a priest/air con.
The staff was amazing! The room was impeccable. The restaurant was really good for both dinner and breakfast. The service of all staff was perfect. The grounds and condition of the hotel were outstanding. Highly recommend
