Very old hotel, some parts in better condition than others. Very ornate decor, almost Gothic, everything dark. Our room was painted in grey and black and felt claustrophic. The shower was good but the sink plug kept stopping up unless held open. The hall to our room smelled of damp. Staff are friendly but they need more people - it's quite a casual approach here. The best thing is that the hotel is centrally located. I would avoid staying here again.

Very happy with our stay. Really nice property, very friendly and helpful staff. Loved the furnishings in the common areas and in the room. Looks to be geared toward hosting weddings, and would be an ideal hotel for that, but we were just visiting from out of town for a couple of nights. Would recommend and stay again.
