"Overall it is a decent stay. I spent 4 nights there with my mother and child. The rooms was pretty small but had all we needed.
The housekeeping is a different story. On the first day they took out the garbage and left the bag there. I killed a couple of spiders, and the last night the bed cover had a big ol stain."
"Clean, comfortable and staff was friendly. Two blocks from the beach! The location is Convenient - just off the freeway, but not loud. Will be staying again when I return to Oxnard the area."
"The location here was amazing, and the staff was very sweet and accommodating. My only complaints were really about the cleanliness of the bathroom--being close to the beach, bathrooms here on the coast are prone to mold and mildew, and I think that the design of the hotel just lends itself to the bathrooms not being very well ventilated. It just felt a bit dated and that while the surface was being cleaned regularly, there was mold in the grout and along the edges of the bathroom.
I also stayed on the first floor down the hall from the breakfast and there was a very rowdy group of men in the morning at 7am--I think if you are a light sleeper, just make sure to request to not be on the first floor and you'll be good."
Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton
4/10 Poor
"The room was spacious way beyond the needs of two people. It was clean. Not even the toothbrush is provided in the room. Do not expect any service in the room. The staff it’s not very helpful. it is one restaurant on the property and that is awfully expensive. On top of that I am being charged $272.96 over what should have been. Other than that, it was OK. Pay $600 a night for that poor service is not my idea of a resort."
