"My family and I have stayed at this hotel for 20 years. It’s changed hands numerous times through the years. This time though I was super impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the newly remolded rooms. This is the only hotel we stay at near Monterey because of the convenience of the beach being right outside our hotel room. Also there’s a target and Costco just down the street making it easy to grab necessities and whatever else we may want. Rebekah, at front desk was incredibly kind and even sent up chocolate covered strawberries after finding out we were there for our 7 year old twins birthday. We will definitely be going back soon!"

"From our seamless check in to our check out everything was great. It was very pet friendly. Loved their little dog park area. The rooms were very clean, updated and well stocked with towels, coffee, and amenities. We come to Monterey every year for my birthday, we will definitely stay here again."

"Toilet in room didn’t flush properly. Shower pressure decreased repeatedly while showering. No towels at the pool- took 30 minutes for them to be restocked."

"Very enjoyable get-away. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the garden.The staff was helpful and welcoming. Complementary Smores by the fire pit after dinner was fun. Good value as Carmel Valley tends to be over -the- top expensive."
