Park Plaza London Riverbank
5/5 Excellent
Wonderful stay
"This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! Location was great- it was about a 15 minute walk from the train station and a 25 minute leisurely walk down the Thames to Westminster. I'd highly suggest the hop on hop off tours. They all pick up in that area. When leaving the hotel we were always greeted by friendly helpful staff. Taxis were there waiting, but word of advice- they are very expensive. Fare was 26💷 to go about 1 mile. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, but they are not budget friendly. I suggest traveling out of the area for food.
The room was immaculate. Wonderful bathroom- rain shower/ handheld sprayer option. Water pressure and temperature was great. My only complaint is the lighting stays pretty dim. Speaking the lighting, the room has a cool feature with all the controls on one pad. Automatic opening/ closing the blinds, different lighting features (the "mood" feature was a cool twist). On the downside, the pull out couch was not comfortable at all. Mattress was super thin and every time someone moved it made loud noises. There was a hairdryer and iron/ironing board which was nice. The room service food was also pretty good and a good option if you don't feel like leaving. I would definitely stay there again! "
