"Only good thing is staff were always responsive. However, be mindful of risky check-in protocols. There’s nobody on site. They asked guests to take a selfie with their faces next to their ID/Passport & share before receiving check-in instructions. Basically all critical info in one place: full name, date of birth, nationality, document expiry, address (for ID) and your real face right next to it. This is perfect Identity Theft catastrophe in the making.
We refused to check in because we work in IT Security and we know what AI can do with these if the selfies/data got leaked. Wouldn’t mind sending copy of passport because it’s standard at hotels, but with real face next to it then nope. In addition, they also got our phone numbers and email addresses already. Now anyone with bad intentions can open some credit cards online under our names. This business cheap out on staff on-site for check-in and expose guests to all the risks down the road. Good luck removing your selfie from dark webs once it’s leaked."
