"The website says pet friendly for $75 for pets under 75lbs, but upon arrival I was informed the Hilton website is “incorrect, and they only accept service dogs”. I asked the manager what was I supposed to do with my dogs then, after speaking to another gentleman he informed me I could stay if I paid a $200 non refundable fee. I had no other options since my room was non refundable and it was late afternoon. I don’t feel like that was professional, if your website states you’re pet friendly then you should honor that. The manager stated he’s been trying to remove that from the website since 2009. That’s more than enough time.
The rooms were nice, very clean. My only complaint would be that my door and multiple other family members door would not lock, were hard to open physically, or hard to close do to not being aligned.
The property was well kept. There is two 3-4ft pools, a lazy river and one slide. A little convenience store with Starbucks coffee in the am, and a tiny bar/restaurant?
Overall it was the same as a regular hotel, I would not stay here again if looking for “resort amenities” and because they bait and switched pet prices on me."
