"We had a wonderful stay at Black Bear Lodge. The property was very clean, the area was quiet, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The gentleman at check-in was very friendly and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to a nicer room at no additional cost, which made our stay even better. The only minor issues we experienced were that the hair conditioner dispenser was not working after shampooing, and the sink in the bedroom bathroom was draining very slowly. Other...

"The property charged me $444 for a one king with two bunk bed room for one night. In my opinion, the hotel itself look extremely dated and in need of some TLC. Everything was an extra charge. Even a 40.00 dollar "resort fee" which I didn't get hit with till check in..my question is resort fee for what exactly? a small pool or dated hot tub? Non existing coffee bar. First and last time"

"The guy who checked me in was very friendly and had recommendations on where to eat. Unfortunately that was the only positive thing. I should have read the amenities where it said there was no A/C only fans. The window fan worked but not the in room fan. The ice bucket had some sort of blue goop (dried toothpaste?) on it. The faucet only ran warm and hot water. No cold. No wash clothes in the room and the linens and towels were cheap. Very old hotel that definitely needs to be upgraded."
