When this is combined with the love for nature that the host Mary shares with you and staying in one of the shepherds huts all conditions for a perfect stay are there. Guidance to nice walks and places to see are part of the warm welcoming to Blackstairs Shepherds Hut.

"This was my 7th stay at Killiane and my husband's third. It is a very pleasant end to our regular visits to Ireland and very convenient for the ferry. everything that I have said in my previous reviews still applies and it is particularly pleasing to see a business that retains it high standards of service and hospitality. "This hotel was very asthetically pleasing, from the grounds, to the rooms, and even the bar! We had a triple room (twin and a double bed), which was compact, but still plenty of room to move around. We appreciated being on the first floor as it was quite warm outside and the rooms do not have AC. We had a lovely dinner in the bar and also enjoyed relaxing on the adjoining patio. Staff was very accommodating and efficient. Location is an easy 15 minute walk into city center, which was a fun area...

"Nice B&B just outside Waterford. Helpful hosts, good breakfast. The owner is famous for her soda bread and indeed it tasted great.
Transport wise you'd have to be on bikes or with a car to reach it, but definitely can be a better option than more expensive places in the city."

"The location is perfect and the hotel offers free onsite parking (we found out after we arrived and parked elsewhere so moving the car was a bit of a headache but lesson learned - check with the hotel directly before arriving). Staff was very helpful and friendly and we had a great stay. "
