"The staff was very nice and helpful, directing us to a wonderful Mexican restaurant, Garcias. Also, the breakfast was excellent!! The chef had delicious granola and yogurt as well as fruits to start and then if you wanted an omelette or fried eggs he made them to order. There was also a buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, pancakes and biscuits and gravy. It was all so delicious and the chef was so nice and very accommodating! An added pleasure to breakfast was watching the elk out of the windows! Lovely place to spend the night, maybe next time we can stay longer. "

"This was our second stay and we've had a very enjoyable rest there. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and the grounds well kept. They even have an area for your pet to do his business. The staff is very professional and welcoming. Breakfast is awesome and plenty of space for parking. We would highly recommend!"

"The building was old but well taken care of and huge. It was a nice room, and the bed/pillows were very comfortable. I cooked in the room. The refrigerator was a good with a spacious separate spacious freezer. The staff was wonderful. I wanted to check-in early and they let me bring my stuff to my room at 9:00am so I could visit Carlsbad Caverns without a full car. I also asked what the most popular things were to do in and around Carlsbad, and they looked for handouts to give to me including a map of the area. They were super sweet. In fact, it was probably the nicest staff I have ever come across at a hotel!"
