"This stay got off to a very disappointing start. At virtually every hotel I've stayed at, if a room is available and you arrive a little early, they're happy to let you check in. We arrived about 90 minutes before check-in and were told rooms were available, but we could only access one by paying an additional fee. It felt like a nickel-and-dime approach from the moment we arrived.
Overall, this was a very unusual hotel experience. There is no organized queue at the front desk, so guests simply stand around and are helped in what appears to be a random order. The process feels inefficient and unnecessarily frustrating.
At check-in, you're asked to scan a QR code and agree to more than 60 terms and conditions, including acknowledgements about the risks of using everyday items such as the hair dryer, iron, and elevator. If you forget what you've agreed to, don't worry, large QR codes posted throughout the property serve as constant reminders.
You'll also need to keep your room key with you at all times, as it must be scanned repeatedly throughout the resort. I understand the need for security, but having to scan your key to move between the pool, lazy river, and washrooms felt excessive and inconvenient.
The rooms themselves are large and spacious, but they are not designed for a relaxing vacation experience, more for sleeping than living. There is no balcony, nowhere practical to hang wet bathing suits, and not even a dresser for unpacking your belongings."
