We loved every aspect of it, except that we happened to be in Breisach during a heat wave. Temperature was in the 90s, and this venerable hotel does not have air-conditioning. "Only one night but loved it. I arrived late from Italy to Zurich to Basel to Lörrach and was so worried when the door was locked after hours. But I rang the bell and a key came out of the box. Finally a night manager came to help me bring in my luggage and I had an amazing sleep after a long day of travel. The breakfast was delicious. Scrambled eggs and croissants and coffee. I wish I could have stayed another night but they’re booked so I moved a couple blocks over to Hotel Stadt."
