"Well I booked a queen bed and I got the insurance and when I showed up I was told that they don't have any queen beds they only have two doubles and it was a non-smoking room. So I didn't get to sleep with my wife we had to sleep in separate beds the room used to be a smoking room because they were cigarette Burns on the edge of the bathtub the floor in the bathroom was coming up there were stains and all sorts of crap in the sink the air conditioning fan was only on low it wouldn't go to medium or high. So they gave away my room to someone else even though I paid for the insurance the room was a wreck the check-in was a disgrace the lady had to get up twice and go to the back room and speak in Spanish so I wouldn't understand what she was saying so from beginning to end it was a nightmare will not be staying there again and I recommend anybody thinking about staying there you find somewhere else. I also wasn't given a discount of any kind for them giving away my room which is again horrible horrible business. So my experience might be different from others so it's up to you whether you want to give them a shot or not. But my recommendation is stay away"

"Older hotel kept up reasonably well."

"Workout room was small and often had kids playing in there, the AC worked great in there though. In my room I had no hot shower water all three days. Not sure if it was because I was next to the laundry room and shared a water heater, cold showers for 3 days nonetheless which wasn’t great. The small restaurant/bar had great food. Place was clean and staff was friendly and helpful."

"The staff were very friendly check-in was very easy. The only thing I found wrong with the property was the rooms were old specially, the bathrooms things needed to be fixed and re-grouted and recaulk And housekeeping really needed to clean and rechecked rooms in our room we had a dishwasher. It had macaroni left in it. There was stains on the wall near the mirror. The room just needed to be better cleaned other than that I like the hotel very convenient target Starbucks, and other restaurants And breakfast was a little poor that scrambled eggs every day very dry orange juice was very bitter, and I think they needed to have more fruit option"

"I didn’t get any help coming or going with my luggage. I never even saw anyone to help."

"The “breakfast menu” like all available food, consists of packaged items (including yogurt and cut fruit) in a refrigerator case. It’s okay for a grab and go ( the urn for free coffee was empty) but not for a sit down and eat meal. Front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. This is a good, clean, simple hotel that delivers comfortable beds at a reasonable price in downtown New Haven. No frills."

"The hotel was very dated, the room looked like it was from 1970 “ yes I’m old enough to remember 1970) the rug was bunched up in a tripping hazard in many places in the center of the room. The bedspread had pools in it and looked like it’s been worn out for 10 years the couch I wouldn’t even sit on.. I would expect to see this room at a red roof in and not where I paid $200 with tax and all included. During checkout couldn’t even tell the front desk personnel because she was talking to her girlfriend on the phone the entire time and never asked me a single question.. Very disappointed . I would absolutely never stay there again"
