"This is an elegant hotel in the period style with all the amenities that you would want for a couple's weekend or stay in Durango. It is good for families, but the majority of guests appeared to be couples and took advantage of the 3 restaurants/bars in the building, as well as easy walking distance to all places downtown. Very comfortable rooms, a beautifully decorated hotel, amazing staff, and well-maintained. Reserved parking next to the hotel for easy access and traveling."

"We had a wonderful stay! The area is beautiful, the location is excellent, and the cabin was cozy, comfortable, and perfect for a couple. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. We didn’t use the hot tub because we spent our time relaxing at the Pagosa hot springs resort instead. We only saw the staff once when we arrived, but we were busy exploring the area and didn’t need anything during our stay. We noticed that some of the other cabins accommodated guests with large dogs, so it seems each cabin has different rules and sizes. Our cabin did not allow dogs, which was fine since it was on the smaller side and best suited for two people. The location is fantastic! There’s a small, peaceful lake nearby, the hot springs are only about 8–10 minutes away, Treasure Falls is about 10 minutes away, and Walmart is just 18 minutes away. We also found several great restaurants within about 18 minutes, including Thai Pagosa and Faire Society Café & Patisserie for an excellent breakfast. Overall, it was a comfortable, quiet, and relaxing place to stay, and we’d definitely recommend it."

"The property's location is excellent and one of its biggest strengths. It's conveniently located and made it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The staff was exceptional throughout our stay. They were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. They truly made us feel welcome and significantly improved our overall experience. The restaurant and Billy's were both outstanding, with great food, drinks, and service. Unfortunately, the accommodations did not live up to the rest of the property. The room was noticeably dated and could benefit from renovations and updated furnishings. The towels were extremely rough, which took away from the comfort of taking a shower. Parking was also a major frustration. Spaces were limited, difficult to find, and not well managed, making it inconvenient to come and go. Overall, the outstanding staff, excellent dining options, and prime location were enough to make our stay enjoyable. However, without those positives, the condition of the rooms and the parking situation would have resulted in a much lower rating. With some updates to the accommodations and improvements to parking, this property could easily provide a much better guest experience."

"When checking in, you need to ask to have your room cleaned daily. Should be standard. pool and hot tub are pleasant. Double glass doors into each room is kind of strange. Make the room feel too open to us."
