"We checked in for one night around dinner time and hoped to catch a hockey game on TV. When we got into the room it was hot. The thermostat was set to 78 F and even with the window wide open and the outdoor temp hovering around zero the room was stifling. I adjusted the temp and closed the window. That’s when I noticed how filthy they were. I also noticed that the inside slider was missing part of its frame. We unpacked and I tried to find a hockey game on TV got an error message NO SIGNAL. I have a back ground in electronics tech so I tried to figure out why. We were hungry so I told the desk clerk what we discovered and she kindly offered to fix it while we were out. Upon returning I tried the TV again and no change. So I tried called the front desk, but the phone was dead. took the remote back down to the clerk as she indicated earlier that I may have been pressing the wrong button. She simply said she couldn’t do anything but did offer to give us another room. We declined as we were already unpacked and planning to go to bed since it was unlikely that any games would still be playing. Once back in the room I tried closing the roll up blinds, but they too were broken so I had to climb up on a chair to manually pull them down inch by inch. It bugged me that I could solve the signal issue so I turned the set around and the cable was simply stuck in a recessed screw hole. I pulUpon check out I asked on some kind of credit or compensation but I was told that couldn’t be done."
