"Room was great. Booking in was awful. All young staff, no management visible. Absolutely awful. Expected a bit of noise from pub. But sounded like being above a club. Drum and base beyond 12 midnight. Tea and coffee minimal. Wouldn’t consider staying again. Cleaner in the morning, absolutely delightful. Best member of staff for sure!"

"We only stayed for 1 night with our dogs, the grounds of the hotel are stunning with lovely views. We were only given 1 bottle of water for our room, when booking I was advised the additional supplement for pets would ensure plenty water in the room, this was not the case but we had plenty with us anyway so didn't see the point in mentioning it. "We were instantly made to feel welcome when checking in, everything was explained to us regarding the facilities the dining arrangements and the bars. Very friendly and polite staff too. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend."

"For the price and location for my specific need the hotel was good. The bed comfy, room clean and a nice touch with the in room welcome pack of amenities and biscuits. The only concern was a young child (the receptionists child) randomly walking in my hotel room (room 2) to use my toilet and walk out again). I laugh it off now, but was concerning at the time."

"Old hotel which could do with some TLC, but then prices would have to rise significantly. Big room. Decent sized bathroom. Shower over bath. Shower pressure very good. Cosy little bar area. Lovely setting, easy walking distance to/from town centre. Good range of eateries and bars in town. All staff very nice. Would definitely book this hotel again."

"The building was nice but the room had a dirty bath, not dusted room and the seal had gone on the shower so water flooded everywhere. The restaurant had an issue so it was 2 3/4 hours before our food was served. We literally could have driven home and had tea and come back within that time. But our bed was comfy."

"When I booked the hotel I got the impression that there was parking there. When we arrived I went into ask where the parking was I was given a map and told to park in a residential street "5 minutes walk away". There were some public parking spaces outside and opposite the hotel (only one space opposite when we arrived) but the signs indicated it was maximum of 4 hours so we did park in one of the residential streets suggested.
