I have stayed in hotels all over the world and I have never in 40 years been so welcomed and so appreciated and so helped even with the minor things like asking for a pen and they gave me a handful. If I ever traveled to Vancouver again, which I’m sure I will I will never stay anywhere else. I used to like the Heisman Lodge, but this place is nicer rooms and better hospitality."

"Very kind staff, wonderful price for the stay, lovely breakfast of hot cereal, bananas, pancakes and syrup, and yogurt, coffee and Tea 5-9a.m. Jawfish and Elmers Restaurants an easy walk away. It's an old motel with plenty of more life just like 80 year old me. Public bus right at the end of the driveway and Airport Shuttle!"

"Kinda run down honestly, not what I normally expect from La Quinta. Hottub wasn't very hot, pool was freezing, both had murky colored water. No pool towels. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either, just okay. Probably won't stay at this location again."

"McMenamins Edgefield is an experience, and we've stayed there a number of times. The rooms, for the most part, are from another era (it used to be the county "poor farm"), but the grounds are spectacular, the heated outdoor pool is stunning at night. The food is somewhat expensive, but my wife and I shared a grilled Ahi appetizer that was outstanding- probably the best I've ever had. "Air conditioning did not work and there was a screen missing in my window but it was so stuffy in room that we had to leave windows open. There was also an odor in the room. On the bottom of my shower was something weird like paint or a nasty stain."

"Very old and run down. Our room had a very strong smell that gave us both headaches. Issues with booking car parking as well since we booked with Expedia for some reason. Shuttle was great, on time and clean and smell free."
