"We found this place on the way through to Inkcarceration in Ohio from where we live near Chattanooga, TN. We enjoyed the 1 night stay on the the way up there that we decided to stop on the way back through and stayed for 2 days. It was such an awesome experience to stay in such a historic place. There isn’t much around so we ate at the Trustee table restaurant on site for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food was amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We absolutely loved this place and now that we have found it and it’s only about a 4 or 4 and a half hour drive from Chattanooga, we plan to take our kids to Shaker Village for a mini vacation one weekend. I’m so glad that they decided to allow overnight stays here and they didn’t just make it a museum type place. The ability to stay the night somewhere this cool and old is a one of a kind experience you can’t get just anywhere. This place is a MUST if you are traveling through here or want a mini vacation with family!! We will definitely be back!!"
