"On the first night, our hvac unit burned up at 3:30 am. The overnight attendant, young lady, acted quickly and moved us to a new room. That act alone could have earned Avid 5 stars. However, on the morning of checkout, a new desk attendant coldly denied our request for a noon checkout. She said I can only give you 30 minutes!!! We visit family in Melbourne on a regular basis, but we won’t stay there again or recommend Avid. You have two shining stars at that location—the young lady who moved us...

"The only thing that I didn’t like is every time you walked through the front door of the property it had a distinct smell, and it wasn’t pleasant. However, the rooms were clean, but no microwave in the rooms."

"Good sized rooms, with comfortable beds and efficient air conditioning. Only adverse comment on the room is the shower could do with more pressure. Free car parking always a bonus. There is no sound proofing so For those sensitive to noise, ask for a room at the rear. Rooms at the front have noise from busy traffic and the airport - then again if you don't like aircraft noise, don't book an airport hotel ! Gas station directly next to hotel car park. Would certainly stay there again."
