Room was clean, bed comfortable and location is excellent. Yes you share a bathroom and kitchen but you can’t beat the price and location.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at Jellybean 1. It was clean, quiet, had a mini fridge in the room, and comfy bed and room darkening curtains made for a very restful sleep. An excellent location within a short walk to downtown amenities. The room needed some minor maintenance like cleaning a minor drain clog, and new caulk around the tub, but otherwise it was a nice stay.
Quick responses from the owner. Really convenient spot and nice room. we just brought a laptop to watch shows at night to compensate for the lack of TV. Would definitely recommend :)
The room was clean and parking was easy. The A/C wasn't working, and although a small fan was provided, the room remained warm and muggy. The location is within walking distance of nearby restaurants and bars, and the area appeared safe. We didn't use the kitchen area.
Close to downtown. Quiet. Comfy bed. Thought there was an ensuite bathroom.Used backyard parking. TINY towel. Clean. Old and smelled stuffy. Liked the price.
The location was great and rooms were clean. Didn't like sharing a bathroom. When I booked I read private bathroom for basic room. The people we shared bathroom with were unaware as well. There is more than one basic room type....just beware when you book.
This is not a luxury accommodation, but it served the purpose, was clean, safe, and well-located. Great for the budget traveler.
It was unclear to me that we were only getting a bedroom/bathroom suite, so I was expecting to have the whole place to ourselves. There were other occupants of the other bedrooms. It was okay once we got used to it. Location was very accessible to the tourist area. It would have been helpful to have some kind of instruction to all occupants about sharing the kitchen area. For example, there were a lot of food items there, but we didn't know if we could use them or not. We didn't know if some of the occupants were long term tenants and the food might have belonged to them. Better communication would have improved this situation.

Clean, quiet, easy access with parking.
Walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and shopping.
This is perfect for a solo traveler or couple on the go. Parking right in front and the back is a wonderful amenity. The bed was comfortable and the location is the best you can get.
This place is NOT as advertised. Doors slamming all night, reeks of stale old cigarette smoke. More like a hostel than anything. Great if you hate being home.
Bedding polyester and smells stale. Was supposed to stay three nights and left after one with no refund from the property. Book at your own risk. Also it’s not the building that’s shown in the main page of the listing. It’s beige. Not colorful.
Wish there was a TV but otherwise everything was fine super comfy bed and clean areas

Overall it was fine, especially considering it's one of the cheapest places to stay in StJohns. My room had a mini fridge, but no wardrobe as was advertised. Since I stayed 9 days, this was disappointing. There was a shelving unit, but it was not a wardrobe. You can control the thermostat in your room. I did have a problem with getting hot water in the mornings due to other guests also using it. On the last night of my stay, some one entered the house and tried to get in my room, which shook me up. I messaged the owner, who investigated and turns out it was just someone unsure of what room they were checking into (this seemed to be a common issue for people staying there). After I messaged the owner they did immediately look into it, but they responded with "sorry for the inconvenience" instead of offering a true apology and taking ownership for their bad management. There should be no confusion what room guests are checking into. Other guests I spoke to told me they did not receive their information, though I booked through expedia and I was fine, some of them had used a travel agent, so beware if that's your route. Overall my stay was fine but it could be cleaner. In the kitchen guests have to wash their dishes, which is fine, but I don't trust strangers to properly wash their dishes or have clean hands. Kitchen has tea, coffee. It is located in a great spot, close to downtown but also quiet and easy to get to places outside the city.
