The Beach outside the hotel is brilliant. With beachfront restaurants providing sunset views every night, it's hard to beat. Staff are friendly, the free mini-bar in the room is quite extensive (full sized liquor bottles), and the drink choice at the pool bars is great. It's a great hotel. You won't be disappointed.

My wife and I stayed at Sandals Grande Antigua for our honeymoon and had an amazing experience. We stayed on the Mediterranean side of the resort. While the rooms could use a little updating, the view from our balcony was absolutely beautiful and the overall resort layout was perfect. The food was very good, the drinks were great, and there was plenty of beachfront space, so finding loungers with an umbrella was never an issue. The beach itself was incredible — the water was some of the bluest I’ve ever seen. The entire resort was very well maintained and the staff was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful honeymoon and would definitely recommend this resort to others.

Very clean and well kept resort. Staff always very nice and friendly. The only negative thing I want to point out is, that Mario’s and Drunken Duck kept their restaurants ice cold. Also the Jewelry store.

A great place to stay at Antigua, excellent service and facilities, beautiful views and beach, lots of nice activities during the day and in the evening, very friendly staff taking excellent care of you, ready to cater to all your wishes. Good examples of the friendly service were Erica and Sylvia at the Cafe de Paris.

An awesome experience. Staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful and very clean. Never a problem having access to food and drink...24/7. Always something to do, and I really enjoyed the included snorkeling excursions (3 per day)....just make sure to book early. Same with the a couple of their higher end restaurants....be sure to make a reservation ASAP. Having said that, we were able to have great dining experiences at the other restaurants with no reservation required. All and all, a very memorable vacation. One thing especially that I'd like to emphasize, and that is the friendly and earnest care for the staff would show you at this resort. They're a model of courtesy for us all. Bless them. They work hard to ensure you're enjoying your stay.

Things I enjoyed during my stay: * Daily housekeeping + evening turndown service. * Well-stocked mini fridge * Great selection of water activities: sailing, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and diving (if certified) * Beautiful beachfront location with beachloungers with umbrellas * Multiple restaurants, buffet options, and bars- Cocktails were good and plentiful * Staff is friendly and helpful - no complaints * Regular entertainment schedule * Easy to book tours and excursions * Well-maintained gardens, hammocks and swinging chair * Clean, well-equipped gym (towels and apples provided) * Tennis court available. Also volleyball sandpit Things to note: * Rooms are slightly outdated in style in my opinion * Pool loungers get claimed very early by other guests (with towels), making it hard to find one in the middle of the day * Food quality/ taste particularly for lunch and dinner was quite average overall in my opinion. (Breakfast buffet was good) * Crowd was mostly older (60s–80s) during my stay (late March), rather than a younger, lively vibe * I found the Tours to be overpriced Overall: A relaxing, well-organized beachfront resort with great service and activities—best suited for a calm, laid-back getaway.
