Room was okay and fairly clean. Door to room was paper thin and the smell of marijuana in the hall was sickening. Room had no chairs, no phone, and one towel for three adult occupants. Window was cracked so the negative 5 degree weather was a little chilly - the heat did work but had a difficult time keeping up.

The condition of the room was in need of a detail clean, asked for fresh towels on day 2 but did not receive. Breakfast available from 6a-9a? Overall not pleased for what I paid for & service received

Nice low-key spot, pretty decent spot if you need a quick place to stay for a couple of days or just need a room for the night. Staff can be a MIA sometimes but they've been pretty good at handing any questions or problems

The building is quite old and shows it. While the rooms and common areas are kept clean the carpeting throughout and condition of the walls and ceilings show their age. I was given a non-smoking room, but the smell of smoke was everywhere in the hotel. The employees were great and very helpful.

People was up all night in parking lot outside my window,in bathroom shower hole in the ceiling big enough someone could come threw ,pool was pretty had to go get my own remote4 tv to the room he walked it up with me weird to come in my room to turn it on then stand there not leaving until I walked towards door. Had to put 100dollar deposit down also they aren't pet friendly with cats but dogs are ok

Overall the Staff are Friendly and Helpful. What I didn't like is the dogs that run without a leash. I have a dog and he's always on a leash. I visit this Hotel Frequently and if you need a cheap place to stay then this is it. It's not the cheapest probably but it's cheaper. To me it's Comfortable.

2-Star but clean enough in safe mall neighborhood

America's BVI in southern St. Louis is about the only low-cost motel chain in the entire area. Other competitors within a 20-mile radius all seem over-inflated. It is a *basic* unevenly-retrofitted older motel, but clean. Bed, bathroom seemed newish. Right off Interstate 55 and 255, so a very strategic location. In a (safe) mall area, so lots of choice of restaurant, stores, etc. Clientele seemed a healthy mix of ages, families, singles, etc. Desk employees were helpful. Breakfast was adequate.

I am not picky about hotels at all. As lomg as the hotel is clean, thats all I care about. This hotel is not clean. Its by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The back door, which is usually secured with using your key card, was closed with tape - not even locked. The towels, washclothes, and sheets looked dirty. A mouse trap is used to hold open the door for the treadmill. The staff were very nice. The quality was the worst hotel we've ever stayed in.

The door lock was pieced together from what looked like scrap they just had laying around. Did not feel safe at all while there. The bath tub filter was full of hair trash was left in the room. The couch was not comfortable. No safety latch on the door. The door chain was cut off and not replaced. Overall I will not ever be staying here again. Gross and not safe. Took pictures as evidence for my refund.

I booked this hotel for the pool. It was not put on the websites that pool was under maintance. Then i cant walk up and down stairs well and elevater was out of order by first night. But staff was considerate and nice. Place was clean.

Wrong impression

Other than the helpful staff, the hotel room looked nothing like in the photos. The entire hotel could use updating and refreshed linens. Everything looked cheap and dingy. I regretted reserving this hotel, but was too tired to want to change it for two nights. I would not stay here again unless they updated the hotel. I did notice the outdoor pool looked fairly nice.

Old facility. Staff do their best. First room taken to was very rough, broken dresser, adjoining door between rooms would not lock, patched walls. Was given another room in better condition. For the price, as expected. Do not like $100 deposit for damaged room. Not sure how that has helped facility. Hope I get it back!

Where to start? When entering the room the lights did not work, we had to feel our way to the wall lights, the bathroom floor had standing water, the toilet had a questionable large mark on the lid, and the tank top was filthy. What few towels we did have in the room were covered in mascara, and questionable other marks. Missing hair dryer, and alarm clock, giant burn hole in the mattress, only 2 pillows on each bed and they were flat, roaches in the hallway, the trash can had not been emptied and had no room, the thermostat was set at 78 for the building, it was humid and smelled like feet, the ac unit in the room only worked for a few minutes at a time before it threw an error code and stopped working, the pool was empty, the breakfast area was clean, but the containers looked unwashed. The elevator was out of order, and even though there was no smoking signs everywhere, I'm pretty certain we were the only people not smoking in the building. I did not expect this bad of an experience for $100.00, and I still haven't received my $100.00 security deposit back.
