"What a beautiful day this was. The views from the Inn are stunning. I was welcomed by Kevin (the owner) on arrival. I enjoyed a fabulous home-cooked styled curry for dinner (a must have if you are there for curry night). The rooms are clean and nicely set up. Both Kevin and Suzanne are superb hosts. Looking for a great place to stay this is it. I look forward to my return."

"Room and bed comfortable, walk in shower, table top ironing board and iron were very useful prior to a family wedding. Green table cafe on site is really good. Also The White Hart provided hotel breakfasts. Staircases were a little fusty with an odd air freshener to compensate. Its an old listed building so to be expected but might smell fresher if the stair carpets were steam cleaned and better air fresheners. Beautfiul location. "Food was great, staff very helpful, bar and dining room very tidy and clean, good range of drinks, both alcoholic and soft although I am out of touch with prices so had a bit of a shock. This is not a negative, just reality. Plenty of parking and convenient at the rear to avoid stairs. Some areas are in need of decorating such as stairwell and corridors however not terrible. Outside areas need tidying around the back of the building but the beer garden/smoking area was good. Wheel chair...

"After a full day of walking what a treat the Station House was! Beautifully decorated room, comfortable bed, lots of hot water, the use of the common room, a informative book about the property and local suggestions as well as a cafe of delicious food."

"Nice place, only an overnight stay. A slight walk from the main road if you're on foot, under 10 mins. No direct transport from Newton Abbot station but if you fancy a 30-minute walk it's not a bad route. On the tip end of River Teign and quite scenic with a nice outdoor garden. Guessing you can take dogs in as they have a dog wash on site :) Restaurant and bar has some good choices."

"Avoid, avoid, avoid. Quite possibly the worst place I have stayed. It's not 'normal pub noise', it's club music from 15years ago playing until around midnight. No soundproofing. Room was filthy, hairs on top of the bed (didn't lift the quilt to see what was underneath); floor hadn't been vacuumed, was dirty and heavily stained: toilet hadn't been flushed, let alone cleaned, whatever was in there had been festering for what looked like a week. No air con and no fan in the room. Room felt...

"Eine ganz hervorragende Unterkunft. Das beginnt beim Empfang, es wird einem alles abgenommen, das Gepäck etwa oder das Parken. Das Personal ist zurückhaltend, aber immer präsent und ansprechbar. Für alle Wünsche werden Lösungen gefunden. Das Haus an sich ist wunderschön, mit einer Terrasse, die einen großartigen Blick in Garten und Tal ermöglicht. Der Nachmittagstee, Abendessen und Frühstück waren ganz hervorragend. Auch die Zimmer kann man positiv hervorheben. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung!"
